The SMART Ride is a bicycle event that raises funds to help individuals infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.

As a participant, I will ride my bike from Miami to Key West – approximately 165 miles long – on November 16 and 17, 2012. To help keep me going, I will have a small crew following me with a heart defibrillator and other medical equipment. I am taking care of these very costly expenses, not to mention time and resources it’s going to take to prepare, travel and stay in Key West after the race.

My goal is to raise $10k for the HIV/AIDS benefit. Why am I doing this? At the risk of sounding like a cliche, I genuinely believe we must be the change we want to see in the world.

But I can’t do this alone. I will need your help in achieving my $10K goal. You can support this cause by donating here. In case the link doesn’t work, here’s the URL: https://www.thesmartride.org/8/pledge/index.php?participantID=548&step=step3.

Thank you for your consideration,

Bill Patchett, President – P2Telecom
